Azerbaijan post offices will no long register foreigners, stateless persons

Baku: From April 1 onwards, foreigners and stateless persons in Azerbaijan will not be registered at post offices any more.

The State Migration Service told APA that foreigners and stateless persons will have to either visit for online registration on location or go to regional departments of the Service.

Foreigners and stateless persons are not required to pay state duty for their current location and can call (012) 919 for more information.

With the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 24 February 2015 on amendments to the Migration Code, the phrases “information resources, post” in the Code’s article 21.2 were altered with “Information resources”.
