Azerbaijan-Pakistan intergovernmental commission to hold meeting in October

Baku: Azerbaijan-Pakistan intergovernmental commission will hold a meeting in Pakitsan in October of this year. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan Dashgin Shikarov told APA that from the delegation led by Azerbaijani Minister of Defense Industry Yaver Jamalov will attend the meeting.

The Ambassador said that Pakistan military leaders will visit Azerbaijan late in August. He said that the further deepening of bilateral cooperation will be discussed during the visit. “Today Pakistan exports arms and ammunition to many countries of the world. Of course, Azerbaijan is interested in strengthening the army as it is in the state of war and its territories are under occupation. Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense Industry produces new weapons and Azerbaijan has already become a state which exports weapons. However there are some types of weapons that Azerbaijan does not produce and imports from abroad. It is cooperated with Pakistan in this field”, he said.
