Azerbaijan approves procedure for foreign donors’ acquiring right to give grant

Baku: The Cabinet of Minister has approved the “Procedure for foreign donors’ acquiring the right to give a grant in the territory of the republic of Azerbaijan”.

This decision was passed in order to ensure the execution of the subparagraph #2.2.3 of the Presidential decree of the Azerbaijani Republic dated November 14, 2014 of No. 344 “About application of the Law of the Azerbaijani Republic dated October 17, 2014 of No. 1081-IVQD “About modification of the Law of the Azerbaijani Republic”.

The decision regulates the rules on acquisition of the right to give a grant in Azerbaijan by branches and representative offices of international organizations and their representations, foreign governments and their representatives, charitable, humanitarian and other social service international organizations, financial institutions, foreign public organizations operating in the field of education, science, health, culture and sports, including foundations, associations, federations and committees, as well as foreign legal entities that were registered in the Republic of Azerbaijan (hereinafter – the foreign donors).

The requirements for foreign donors’ acquisition of the right to give a grant are also applied to grant agreements (orders), sub-grants, grant additions and amendments to them.

Grant agreement can’t be signed with foreign donors, acquiring the right to give a grant.

These requirements are not applied to the grant agreements signed and approved by the Azerbaijan Republic and Government of the Azerbaijan Republic.
