andlsquoRomeo e Giuliettaand’ to return to Istanbul
and”Romeo e Giulietta,and” an Italian interpretation of the William Shakespeare classic produced by David Zard, is set to return to Istanbul this fall due to popular demand following its 12-performance run earlier this season at the Zorlu Center PSM. The musical, a co-production between IEG Live and Lucandeacute StageArt, is set for seven performances from Nov. 4 through 8 at Zorlu Centerand’s Main Theater. Discounted tickets with prices ranging between TL 80 and TL 265.5 are available for purchase at Biletix until June 18.

Artnext closes season with andlsquoSummer Collectiveand’
The Artnext Istanbul contemporary art space in Maslak opens its final exhibition of the current season on Tuesday, presenting a 15-piece selection of work by five contemporary artists from Turkey. Prints, paintings, installations, mixed media works, drawings and photographs by Ardan andOzmenoilu, Saliha Yilmaz, Yiiit Yazici, Alper Biandcaklioilu and Seydi Murat Koandc are featured in and”Summer Collective,and” set to run until Aug. 8 at Artnext Istanbul. Visiting hours: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Monday through Saturday.

Veteran photographers in new galleryand’s portfolio
A new gallery in Istanbul aims to widen the reach of photography in Turkey and make it more affordable for art lovers from all segments of society. DiArtPrints, which opened on June 6 in the Etiler neighborhood, offers certified copies of original photos by around 30 renowned photographers from Turkey, including izzet Keribar, Murat Germen, ibrahim Zaman, Muammer Yanmaz and Laleper Aytek, among others. The gallery is open 8:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on Monday through Saturday.

Career of Halil Akdeniz detailed in new book
A book recently published in English and Turkish looks at the career of Halil Akdeniz, one of Turkeyand’s best known professors of fine arts, who currently teaches at Istanbuland’s Iiik University. Written by Professor Rifat iahiner and published by Masa Publications, the 315-page book, titled and”Halil Akdeniz ve Kandultandur imleri Cultural Signs,and” features 176 images of work by Akdeniz in full color from between 1973 and 2014 with a particular focus on his and”Cultural Signsand” series, which he began working on during the early 2000s.
