Armenian armed forces violated ceasefire with Azerbaijan 625 times in February, 2015.

According to the results of the APA’s monitoring based on the reports confirmed by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, two attempts of Armenian reconnaissance-sabotage group to cross the contact line of troops were prevented in February. Several Armenian soldiers, including officer Tigran Simonyan, the commander of the special forces, were killed during the diversion.

The Armenian Army used mortars and large-caliber machineguns on the frontline during the reporting period.

The highest number of ceasefire violations in January was recorded in the Aghdam part of the frontline, with a total of 176 times.

In the directions of Fuzuli, Terter, Khojavend, Goranboy, Jabrayil, and Goygol on the Karabakh front, the ceasefire was shattered 124, 54, 46, 60, 37, 10 times respectively.

The Armenian Army has been active along the state border between Azerbaijani and Armenia as well, violating the ceasefire regime 43 times in the direction of Tovuz, 39 times in the direction of Gazakh, 12 times in the direction of Aghstafa and 24 times in the direction of Gedebey.

In January, Armenian armed units violated ceasefire with Azerbaijan 714 times.
