Armed attack in France targets Turk

A man of Turkish origin was shot in the back by an assailant in the French commune of Cambrai late on Saturday, the French news magazine Nouvel Observateur has reported.
Remi Schwartz, state prosecutor in Cambrai, reportedly said the man was targeted because he had dark skin. The assailant fired the shot and then committed suicide however, two other people who were in the car with the assailant were captured by police, Schwartz confirmed.
The prosecutor said the investigation into the incident is still ongoing however, it is suspected that the attack was a reaction to attacks in Paris on Friday. Gunmen and bombers attacked restaurants, a concert hall and a sports stadium at locations across Paris on Friday night, killing more than 120 people.
The victim is reportedly not in critical condition.
