Armed attack at Roma wedding claims three lives in western Turkey

Three people were killed and six others were injured as a result of an armed which broke out at a Roma wedding in the western province of Bursa on late Sunday.

Reportedly, three unknown individuals who arrived at the wedding in two vehicle opened fire which left nine people injured. Taken to a nearby hospital, three out of the injured died at the hospital. Efkan Ozçimen, head of the Bursa Association to Promote Roma Culture, was one of the people killed in the incident.

Meanwhile, police detained two people in connection with the attack. Riot police took security measures at the neighborhood where the incident took place. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
