Amnesty International does not call for boycott of first European Games

Baku: Amnesty International has not called for a boycott of the first European Games to be held in Baku, said John Dalhuisen, Amnesty International’s Director of Europe and Central Asia, APA reports.

The organization said in its statement that there are reports from the Azerbaijani and Armenian media that Amnesty International has called for a boycott of the European Games.

“Amnesty International has not called for a boycott of the Games in the report or in the accompanying press release or any media interviews related to the report,” the statement said.

Note that, some media outlets released information a few days ago that Amnesty International has allegedly called for a boycott of the first European Games in Baku.
