Ali Hasanov: Journalists in Muslim countries can unite and demonstrate a unified position

Baku: “I think journalists in Muslim countries can unite and demonstrate a unified position”, Head of the Department for Social and Political Affairs at the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov told IRNA, APA reports.

Attending the 10th Conference of Information Ministers of Islamic Countries in Tehran, Ali Hasanov expressed his hope that the Islamic countries in this matter will reach a common agreement.

“By spreading accurate and objective information, the journalists in Muslim countries can assist the countries in achieving their objectives. Delivery of accurate information is a key factor in modern time”, he stressed.

The department head said today the Western media outlets present Muslims as terrorists.

“We see examples for it in Syria, Iraq, and Egypt. People should be conveyed the truth. I hope this meeting will contribute to the strengthening of solidarity among the media outlets of the Islamic world and creation of a single coordination center”, he added.

The 10th Conference of Information Ministers of Islamic Countries today opened in Tehran. Delegates from 57 Muslim countries are attending the two-day meeting.

The event promotes media convergence for the establishment of peace in the Islamic world.
