Aerse weather causes ferry cancelations on election day

The Istanbul Ferry Lines (iDO)anceled ferry voyages between Istanbul, the Princesand’ Islands in the Sea of Marmara, and several provinces in Thrace and the south Marmara region due to aerse weather conditions, jeopardizing the right to vote for scores of people on election day.
According to information on iDOand’s website, ferries that were officially scheduled for 12 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. from Bandirma to Yenikapi, and 11:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. from Bursa to Yenikapi were also canceled.
Among the other canceled trips were 11:30 a.m. Yalova-Kartal, 11:40 a.m. KadikandOy-Bursa, 12 p.m. Bostanci-Bandirma, 3 p.m. Bostanci-Bandirma and 5:30 p.m. Yenikapi-Bursa.
According to an official announcement, the cancelations will continue today as well due to predicted aerse weather conditions. These include the 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Yenikapi-Bursa and 6 p.m. Bursa-Yenikapi.
iDO has in the past canceled ferry voyages on election day, citing dubious reasons.
