8 Armenian soldiers killed on frontline in October

Baku: In October Armenian armed forces violated ceasefire with Azerbaijan 695 times on the frontline.

According to the results of the APA’s monitoring based on the reports confirmed by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, the enemy forces, using 60mm- and 82mm-caliber mortars, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers made several attempts to commit provocative acts. The opposing side was silenced by retaliatory fire, and all its attempts were prevented.

In October, the highest number of ceasefire violations on the Karabakh front was recorded in the Aghdam part of the frontline, with a total of 200 times.

The ceasefire was violated 153 times in Fuzuli, 72 times in Terter, 62 times in Khojavand and 55 times in Jabrayil.

The Armenian military, which attempted to escalate the tension along the border with Azerbaijan, violated ceasefire 90 times in Goranboy, 25 times in Gazakh, 14 times in Gedebey, 9 times in Tovuz, 13 times in Goygol and 2 times in Aghstafa district.

In October, 8 Armenian soldiers were killed, a number of soldiers wounded.

One Azerbaijani serviceman was wounded.
