Baku: An earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale jolted 68 km SW of Panguna, Papua New Guinea at 01:04:06 GMT on Sat , the U.S. Geological Survey said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

The epicenter, with a depth of 51.8 km, was initially determined to be at 6.773 degrees south latitude and 155.065 degrees east longitude.
