35 cm of snow falls in some areas of Azerbaijan – Amount of precipitation in Baku and Absheron peninsula was above normal

Baku: Information on actual weather conditions in Azerbaijan was announced.

Senior hydrologist of the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Asif Verdiyev told APA that the weather conditions throughout the country was unstable, rain, sleet and snow were observed in mountainous and sub-mountainous districts on March 22-23. Precipitation intensified in some places.

The most precipitation (21-35 cm) was recorded in mountainous areas of Guba district. Snow thickness was 18 cm in Dashkesen and Gedebey districts, 11 cm in Goygol, 10 cm in Gebele and Altiaghaj.

It was raining in Baku and Absheron peninsula, Lenkeran-Astara, Ganja-Gazakh and other districts. The amount of precipitation in Baku and Absheron peninsula was above normal.
