UGANDA’S FOREIGN MINISTER HAILS HIS COUNTRY’S RELATIONS WITH QATAR

Doha – HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uganda Sam Kotisa has hailed the relations between his country and the State of Qatar and said that it is developing and growing in many fields.

In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), on the sidelines of the 17th Doha Forum, HE the Minister said that the visit of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to the State of Qatar recently and his talks with HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani would advance the relations between the two countries, which he described as excellent, towards a broader horizon and a bright and fruitful future for the two countries and their friendly peoples.

He said that the Forum over two days is to discuss political and economic issues of vital importance.

He stressed that the Forum’s discussions on its first day were rich and very deep, and expected that the recommendations and decisions will be issued with the same importance, in order to address the problems of refugees in the world, noting that the Forum contributes very effectively to finding appropriate solutions to them.

He said that Uganda was hosting 1.5 million refugees from the Republic of South Sudan, Somalia, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.(QNA)
