UAE embassies implements, supervises Ramadan charitable programmes.

UAE embassies and diplomatic missions abroad have hosted iftar banquets throughout the holy month of Ramadan as part of the Year of Giving’s initiatives for 2017 to extend bridges of peace, affinity and respect between the UAE and host countries.

The embassies implemented and supervised charitable and humanitarian programmes in coordination with the Emirates Red Crescent, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation and other Emirati humanitarian actors.

The Ramadan fast-breaking programmes were held in Lebanon, Jordan, Morocco, Sudan, Hong, Kong, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka,Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Philippines, Vietnam, Nepal, South Korea, Ethiopia, Senegal, Serra Leone, South Africa, Brazil, Chile, Ireland and Spain.

Apart from hosting iftar banquets, the humanitarian organisations distributed dates, holy Quran, hot meals, food supplies and cash assistance.
