UAE and African Union Commission discuss ways to enhance cooperation.

Ghazi Abdullah Salem Al Mehri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Ethiopia and UAE Permanent Representative to the African Union, has held a meeting with Chairperson of the African Union Commission, AUC, Moussa Faki Mahamat, in Addis Ababa, The two parties discussed means of developing cooperation between the UAE and the African Union. Mr. Al Mehri and Mr. Mahamat also discussed regional developments, including the situation in South Sudan.

Al Mehri affirmed the UAE’s keenness to expand cooperation with the AUC across economic, political and social sectors.

The AUC Chairperson praised the remarkable progress witnessed by the UAE, adding that it represents a role model for African countries. He also praised the pioneering role played by the state in the fields of renewable energy and infrastructure.
