ISTANBUL, May 22 (KUNA) — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accepted Sunday resignation of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, after Transport Minister Binali Yildirim’s election as Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) leader.
Erodgan asked Davutoglu’s government to keep running the affairs of the country until Yildirim formed his cabinet.
The AKP had earlier elected Yildirim as party leader. (end) rs.bs
