TURKISH MINISTER CALLS FOR USE OF MILITARY FORCE AGAINST SYRIAN REGIME

Ankara, – EU Affairs Minister Omer Celik has called for the use of military force against the Syrian regime to prevent more atrocities against civilians, Anadolu Agency reported.

He said the world needs to use force to stop the massacres, adding that the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad manipulated efforts to resolve the six-year conflict in Syria while carrying out attacks on its people.

“We have always talked about a political solution until now but we know how Assad blocked political solution processes. When the political solution is alive, the answer given by Assad is use of chemical weapons,” Celik said Wednesday during a visit to Adana province, southern Turkey.

The Turkish minister added that Assad must end the use of chemical or standard weapons to kill. Otherwise, he said, the political solution will not be put in practice. (QNA)
