Turkish authorities arrest four IS militants

ANKARA, May 1 (KUNA) — Turkish Authorities detained on Saturday night four Syrians, suspected of perpetrating a terrorist act during the celebrations of Labour Day, security sources said.
Intelligence teams and anti-terrorism squads arrested the suspects in simultaneous operations after monitering them, the state-run Anadolu Agency quoted the sources as saying.
It added that the four, who belong to the so-called Islamic State (IS), were in contact with IS persons in areas under their control in Syria.
Turkey last Monday announced it had deported 3,300 foreigners suspected of being linked to jihadi groups, particularly the Islamic State militants, and 41,000 other foreigners have been barred from entering Turkey as part of the country’s fight against the militant group.(end).
