TUNISIA, EU SIGN TWO COOPERATION AGREEMENTS

Tunis – Two cooperation agreements were signed on Thursday in Brussels, in the margins of the thirteenth session of the Tunisia-European Union Association Council.

The agreements, were signed by Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaes Jhinaoui and European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism, Youth and Sport Tibor Navracsics.

Tunisia’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the first agreement concerns Tunisia’s participation in the European program to support the cultural and creative sectors entitled: “Creative Europe.” The statement added that the second agreement, provides 60 million Euros to support the Tunisian government’s efforts in the decentralization process to reduce inequalities in regional development.
