TRUMP WILLING TO MEET NORTH KOREA’S LEADER

Washington, — President Donald Trump said Monday he would be “honored” to meet North Korean leader Kim.

“If it would be appropriate for me to meet with him I would be honored to do it,” Trump said in an interview with Bloomberg News. “If it’s under the, again, under the right circumstances. But I would do that.” No American president has ever met a North Korean leader Trump’s overture comes as tensions between the two countries are at their highest in years.

Last week Trump said a major war with Notth Korean was possible but he preferred a diplomatic solution to the crisis over the North’s banned nuclear weapons program President Bill Clinton sent his Secretary of State to North Kore in the late 1990s and began negotiating a deal that was ended by the next US president, George W.
