Sudanese NGO acclaims Kuwait's role in backing disaster-affected people

KUWAIT, May 3 (KUNA) — Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Khartoum-based Munazzamat Al-Da’wa Al-Islamiia (the Islamic Call Organization) Abdulrahman Suar Al-Thahab acclaimed Tuesday the leading role of Kuwait in providing aid to needy people worldwide.
In a statement to KUNA following a meeting with Chairman of Kuwait Red Crescent Society Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer, Suar Al-Thahab also lauded KRCS’s humanitarian role especially in African countries.
He noted that the meeting tackled means to beef up cooperation between the two organizations.
For his part, Al-Sayer welcomed Suar Al-Thahab’s visit to Kuwait and to the KRCS’s headquarters.
He stated that the KRCS is doing its best to offer a helping hand to people affected by natural or man-made disasters across the globe.
He also extolled Munazzamat Al-Da’wa Al-Islamiia’s role in providing relief and humanitarian aid to displaced people in Africa. (end) akw.nfa.ibi
