STEINMEIER SWORN IN AS NEW PRESIDENT OF GERMANY

Berlin, – Frank-Walter Steinmeier was sworn in today as the 12th President of Germany.

Steinmeier took the oath of office at a joint session of both houses of parliament. The 61 year-old served previously as the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2013 to 2017.
