Sheikha Fariha, Egypt's chief judge mull civil legislation

CAIRO, May 4 (KUNA) — President of the Kuwaiti Society for the Ideal Family Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Chairman of the Egyptian Court of Cassation and Supreme Judicial Council Ahmad Jamaledin discussed on Wednesday how to overhaul civil legislation in order to cope with modern advancement.
Speaking to KUNA, Sheikha Fariha said she exchanged views with the chief Egyptian judge the family court in Kuwait and civil legislation, hailing Egypt’s long judicial experience, and cooperation with the Kuwaiti judiciary.
Speaking highly of her visit to Egypt, she said her society had made the best use of fruitful meetings with Egyptian judges and officials.
Sheikha Fariha and her accompanying delegation are in Egypt to participate in the Arab Women’s Conference which kicked off earlier on Tuesday. It mainly deals with the plight of Arab refugee women in the Middle East region. (end) ms.mt
