SAUDI ROYAL ORDERS SACK LABOR MINISTER, RESHUFFLE ULEMAS COUNCIL

Riyadh, – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued on Friday a series of royal orders, including the sacking Minister of Labor and Social Development, Dr. Mufarrij bin Saad Al-Haqbani, and replacing him with Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghifaidh, state news agency SPA reported.

According to the orders, the Grand Ulemas Council shall be reshuffled under the presidency of the kingdom’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh. The term of four full-time members of the Standing Committee for Fatwa was extended for four years.

In addition, a royal order relieved the Secretary General of Shura Council Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Amr of his post. A Shura Council was appointed for four years under the chairmanship of Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh.
