Saudi-led coalition forces intercept ballistic missile fired from Yemen

RIYADH, May 9 (KUNA) — The Saudi-led coalition has announced that the Saudi Royal Air Defense Forces intercepted a ballistic missile fired from Yemen against Saudi territories early Monday.
In a press statement aired by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the pro-Yemeni legitimacy coalition said that the missile was shot down by the Saudi Air Defense forces and no damage was reported.
It added that the Saudi Air Force have responded to the source of the fire and destroyed the missile launching pad.
It noted that the coalition forces recommitted itself to the cessation of hostilities agreement in response to Yemeni government demands.
If such violations are repeated, the coalition would retain the right to respond at the appropriate time and place, it concluded. (end) od.ibi
