SAUDI AUTHORITIES FOIL ATTEMPTS TO PLANT LAND MINES, SMUGGLE ARMS, NARCOTICS

Riyadh, – Saudi Ministry of Interior announced thwarting several attempts to plant land mines and smuggle arms, ammunition and narcotics Security Spokesman of the Ministry said in a statement carried by Saudi press agency (SPA) that Border Guard forces successfully, managed to foil several attempts to plant land mines, smuggle arms and ammunition, in addition Hashish, adding that that as many as 30 culprits have been arrested.

He indicated that three of them were killed and two were injured, eight land mines seized, 23 different arms kinds, 32160 bullets and 607 kilos of Hashish have been confiscated.

He added that 19 of the culprits are Ethiopians, seven Yemenis, three Saudis and a non-identified person, pointing out that a total of 1265 infiltrators were captured, 847 of them are Yemenis, 309 Ethiopian nationals and 16 Somalis. (QNA)
