Doha, – Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) announced the completion of the first phase of a project for the rehabilitation of 300 houses in Gaza Strip for the Palestinian families affected by the repeated Israeli wars on the Strip.

The total cost of the project, which is being implemented in two phases, is QR 6.5 million, donated by the citizens and residents of Qatar.

The project, being implemented in cooperation with Turkey’s Life Way Association, aims at providing adequate shelter for more than 2,100 Palestinian citizens from poor and needy families whose homes have been partially or totally destroyed during the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip during the past years, RAF said in a press release.

The first phase of the project costed over QR 3 million. It included the renovation and rehabilitation of 200 houses in Rafah, Deir Al-Balah, Al-Daraj and Al-Tuffah districts, North Gaza Governorate, Gaza Governorate, Khan Yunis Governorate and Rafah Governorate, according to the statement.

RAF said that it will start soon the implementation of the second phase of the project, which will include the rehabilitation of 100 houses. (QNA)
