Doha – Secretary-General of Qatar Red Crescent (QRCS) Ali Hassan Al Hammadi conferred with the Governor of Grande Comore Hassani Hamadi Mgomri.

The meeting discussed the humanitarian and social conditions in Grande Comore, which faces a range of challenges.

Mgomri thanked QRCS for its effective humanitarian interventions in the Comoros, particularly in medical and food assistance. He called for further cooperation to improve the living standards in the country, with a promise to remove any difficulties that may face future humanitarian undertakings.

Al Hammadi hailed the proposed cooperation in light of QRCS’s goals and scope of work, in the form of well-designed projects with formalized objectives, budgets, timeframes, and mechanisms.

Over the 2010-2017 period, QRCS completed QR 2.3 million worth of relief and development projects. (QNA)
