Doha, – Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) signed here on Sunday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Libyan Sheikh Taher Azzawi Charity Organization in various humanitarian fields.

The MoU was signed by QRCS Executive Director, Youssef Ahmed Al Hammadi, and Chairman of the Libyan Sheikh Taher Azzawi Charity Organization.

Under the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in areas of common interest by providing the necessary support to achieve humanitarian objectives and exchange information relating to joint ventures between them as well as to participate in various cultural, humanitarian and educational activities of interest for both sides.

The MoU includes also the organization of relevant workshops, training and conferences along with communication, cooperation, consultation and partnerships with international funding agencies to achieve common humanitarian objectives and implement relief and humanitarian projects in Libya, The two sides would also, under the MoU, exchange mutual assistance in the implementation of projects and research of common interest in addition to the formation of a Joint Committee on Planning and Follow-up.
