QRCS, KRCS PROVIDE QR 1.8 MILLION FOOD AID FOR SYRIAN IDPS

Doha, – As part of the bilateral cooperation to help the Syrians affected by recent escalation, Qatar Red Crescent (QRCS) and Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) have launched several food security projects at a total cost of USD 500,000 (QR 1.8 million).

Under the emergency response project for the internally displaced people (IDPs) of Aleppo, 6,000 food packages are currently delivered to 6,000 families (30,000 people) at shelter centers and camps as well as host households, to help them secure their basic food needs, QRCS said in a statement today.

Earlier this month, the two organizations distributed USD 1 million of winterization aid, for children in Rif Dimashq, northern Homs countryside, Idlib, and northern Hama countryside. (QNA)
