Qatar’s Sold Properties Drop by 30 Percent in February 2017 / 1

In regard to traffic cases, the bulletin showed that the total number of traffic cases was 485 traffic cases during February 2017. The figure has registered a monthly decrease of 14.2 percent in comparison to last January 2017. The total number of death cases during February 2017 has reached 6 cases only.

In regard to electricity and water consumption rate, the bulletin showed a monthly decrease of 13 percent in electricity utilization, as the total electricity utilization value has reached 2,040 thousand mega watt/hour during February 2017. The bulletin also showed a monthly decrease in total water consumption rate by 10 percent, as the total water consumption value has reached 39,831 cubic meters during the same period.

In regard to passengers movement at Hamad International Airport, the total number of arrivals has reached about 1,546 passengers during February 2017, while the total number of departures totaled more than 1,485 thousand passengers during the same period. Thus, the total number of arrivals recorded an annual rise of 9.8 percent, while the total number of departures recorded an annual rise of 12.2 percent.

In the same context, the total number of arrivals to Doha reached approximately 437 Thousand passengers, and scored a monthly decrease of 10.1 percent compared to past January 2017. The total number of departures from Doha reached approximately 376 thousand passengers, and scored a monthly decrease of 21.2 percent compared to past January 2017.

Total broad money supply (M2) recorded about QR 517 billion during the month of February 2017 showing a monthly increase of 3.3 percent compared to last January 2017. On the other hand, cash equivalents (including deposits) attained for QR 766 billion during February 2017. The figure has recorded a monthly increase of 4 percent during in comparison with January 2017, as it recorded approximately QR 736 billion. In contrast, total broad money supply (M2) recorded an annual decrease of 2.5 percent, while cash equivalents (including deposits) recorded an annual increase of 20 percent. (QNA)
