QATAR’S FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS U.N. ENVOY FOR SYRIA

MARRAKESH, Qatar’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, met here on Wednesday, with the United Nations special envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura.

During the meeting, they discussed the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Syrian city of Aleppo, and exchanged views on a number of matters of common interest.

The Foreign Minister told Qatar News Agency (QNA), that, the meeting was a good opportunity to discuss the situation in Aleppo, and to exchange views on means to achieve ceasefire, guarantee civilians’ safety, in the besieged cities in Syria and delivery of humanitarian aid.

The Minister reiterated Qatar’s firm stance, rejecting terrorism in all its forms and manifestation.

He also voiced Qatar’s denunciation of the heinous crimes committed by the terrorist organisations, against civilians in different parts of Syria.
