QATARI, GERMAN FMS DISCUSS BILATERAL TIES

Qatari Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, discussed by phone, with his German counterpart, Sigmar Gabriel Tuesday, the friendly relations between the two countries.

The conversation, initiated by Sheikh Mohammad, also dealt with regional issues and the latest developments in the relations among the GCC member states

Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Egypt have cut off diplomatic relations with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism. Libya, Yemen and the Maldives followed suit.

Qatar has rejected the accusations, calling the accusations “unjustified” and “baseless.”
