HE the Foreign Minister said that conflict prevention is a multi-dimensional action, aimed at addressing the structural errors that lead to slipping into the clutches of violent conflict and extremism, adding that the efforts of the State of Qatar in humanitarian work was not only restricted to the region, but had spread to more than 100 countries all over the world. He stressed Qatar’s commitment to the continuity of humanitarian work in sustainable ways.

In this context, HE the Minister said : “We pledge to contribute to humanitarian and development goals with an amount of US $10 billion over the next ten years” .. He pointed to the existence of more than 60 million people including refugees and displaced people worldwide , as well as having other peoples under siege and colonialism, “which makes it imperative for all to use all capacities to cope with this humanitarian disaster, and to find solutions by relieving them, and put an end to their suffering, he said their suffering constitutes a flagrant violation of our moral and humanitarian shared values.” Referring to the significance of education, HE the Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani noted that everyone agrees that the focus on education is vitally important in order to protect children and prevent the loss of generations, especially that ” neglecting education means that a whole generations would become more vulnerable to human trafficking or falling prey to terrorism. ”
