QATAR UNIVERSITY TO HOLD ITS ANNUAL RESEARCH FORUM, EXHIBITION 2017

DOHA, Qatar, – Qatar University (QU), held a seminar to outline the activities and awards of the Qatar University (QU) Annual Research Forum and Exhibition 2017.

Themed: “Research Beyond Boundaries,” the two-day event (May 3-4), will be held at QU Research Complex.

It will feature the distribution of four categories of awards — Research Excellence Award, Graduate Studies Awards, Poster Awards, and Visualisation Challenge.

Commenting on the forum, QU Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, Prof Mariam Al-Maadeed, said that, it aimed at bringing together key stakeholders across industry, academia, and government, to discuss the University’s research enterprise, illustrate new tools, new programmes, collaborations, innovations and other relevant projects that are in alignment with the QU Research Road-map 2014-2019, Qatar National Research Strategy, and Qatar National Vision 2030.

Consultant at QU Research and Graduate Studies Office, Dr Fadhil Sadooni, said that, the forum has been instituted to promote research projects and efforts at Qatar University, explore funding opportunities, and highlight the potentials and viability of ongoing and new graduate studies programmes.–
