Qatar Stock Exchange Index Gains 8.85 Points This Week

Doha, Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 8.85 points (+0.08%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 10,436.76 points.

Trading value during this week decreased by 12.50% to reach QR 970,175,961.90 compared to QR 1,108,831,218.38.

Trading volume increased by 31.07% to reach 41,012,939 shares, as against 31,291,954 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 11.31%, to reach 13,506 transactions as compared to 15,229 transactions.

Market capitalization rose by 0.25% to reach QR 563,466,058,440.66 as compared to QR 562,086,757,187.51 at the end of previous week.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 33.12% of the total traded value. Real Estate sector accounted for 27.49% and Industries sector accounted for 12.57% and Telecoms sector accounted for 9.70%.

Real Estate sector led traded volume this week accounted for 34.76% of the total traded volume. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 31.78%. Telecoms sector accounted for 18.78% and Industries sector accounted 6.72%.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 32.82% of the total number of transactions. Real Estate sector accounted for 20.33%. Industries sector accounted for 17.19% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 10.75%.

From the 44 listed companies 28 ended this week higher, while 13 fell and three unchanged.

Ezdan Holding Group led trading value this week accounted for 8.58% of the total traded value. Qatar First Bank (QFC) accounted for 7.72% and Barwa Real Estate accounted for 7.65%.
