Qatar Stock Exchange Index Drops 204.25 Points This Week

Doha, – Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index lost 204.25 points (-1.87%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 10,721.15 points.

Trading value during this week increased by 14.62% to reach QR 2,387,502,247.23 compared to QR 2,082,947,208.32.

Trading volume increased by 8.49% to reach 61,369,976 shares, as against 56,569,141 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 1.95%, to reach 25,600 transactions as compared to 26,109 transactions.

Market capitalization fell by 1.97% to reach QR 577,209,976,224.36 as compared to QR 588,815,020,090.19 at the end of previous week.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week accounted for 33.47% of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 19.68%. Real Estate sector accounted for 14.93% and Insurance sector accounted for 11.90%.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week accounted for 32.73% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 24.07%. Real Estate sector accounted for 17.09% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 11.73%.

From the 44 listed companies 17 ended this week higher, while 27 fell.

QNB led trading value during this week accounted for 10.43% of the total traded value. Barwa Real Estate accounted for 8.79% and Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance accounted for 6.03%. (QNA)
