QATAR : LET’S WAIT AND SEE, SAYS MALAYSIAN PM

Malaysia will “wait and see” before deciding whether to follow the lead of a few Arab countries which have cut diplomatic ties with Qatar, said Najib Tun Razak.

“We will wait and see. We are close to Gulf countries. We don’t know what the issues are at the moment. We will watch the developments,” the Prime Minister said when asked to comment on the Middle East development after he visited the Tun Razak Exchange Gallery here today.

Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, UAE and Bahrain cut diplomatic ties with Qatar on Monday, accusing the Gulf state of supporting terrorist organisations.
