DOHA, Qatar, May 8 (NNN-QNA) – Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health, officially launched the Qatar Public Health Strategy 2017-2022 Consultation, at the fifth Middle East Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare over the weekend.

The consultation, a first-of-its-kind survey, inviting feedback on public health issues in Qatar, was announced by the Minister of Public Health, Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, during the opening presentation at the Forum.

An in-depth session, featuring presentations and a panel discussion followed on day three of the Forum, with representatives in attendance from Hamad Medical Corporation, Primary Health Care Corporation, Sidra Medical and Research Centre and the private sector, as well as students from universities and high schools.

The Ministry of Public Health is preparing to formally launch the Qatar Public Health Strategy 2017-2022 later this year.

The launch of the Qatar Public Health Strategy Consultation marks the start of an online public health survey, to seek Qatar residents’ opinions on health issues – feedback which will be used to inform the strategy prior to its formal launch.
