QATAR CONDEMNS VIOLENCE AGAINST MUSLIMS IN MYANMARc

Qatar on Saturday, decried violent attacks, targeting Rohingya Muslims, in Myanmar.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry, in a statement, expressed deep concern, at reports about abusive acts and atrocities against the Muslim Rohingyas, in the Asian nation.

The Government of Myanmar must adhere to international laws, on protecting civilians, it said.

According to the International Migration Organisation, some 3,000 members of the community have been killed, and 18,000 others have fled their homes due to the violence
