Qaa bombers enter Lebanon from Syria – Interior min.

BEIRUT, June 28 (KUNA) — Many suicide bombers, who targeted the village of Qaa in northeastern Lebanon near the border with Syria, entered the country from Syria, said Interior and Municipalities Minister Nouhad Machnouk on Tuesday.
The minister made the statement after inspecting the site of bombings that hit the village early Monday.
He stressed the necessity of making a balance between humanitarian responsibility towards the Syrian refugees and the ways to prevent them from “being an atmosphere supporting terrorism.” Machnouk called for political security establishment in the country, “because security would only be restored after presidential elections.” He also called upon politicians, various parties and all security forces to ensure security in Lebanon.
He revealed that Lebanese security apparatuses expected some “terrorist” attacks in the country, affirming that these apparatuses managed to foil many attacks due to proactive measures taken to deal with such attacks.
At least five people were killed and several others wounded in the attack carried out by some suicide bombers.
About 30,000 Syrian refugees have been hosted at camps in northern areas of Qaa, while some extremist armed groups are spreading on eastern areas of the village along the Syrian borders. (end) wsm.hm
