PRESIDENT OF SOMALIA MEETS QATAR’S FOREIGN MINISTER …….. / REPEATED TO CORRECT PRESIDENT’S NAME/

London – President of the Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmajo met here today with Qatar’s Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al -Thani, on the sidelines of the international conference in support of Somalia, to be held tomorrow in London.

At the beginning of the meeting , HE the Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani to the President of the Republic of Somalia, wishing the Somali people more progress and prosperity.

For his part, President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmajo entrusted HE the Foreign Minister to convey his greetings to HH the Emir, wishing him good health and happiness, and the Qatari people further progress, development and prosperity.

They reviewed relations between the two brotherly countries, ways of bolstering and developing them, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.

HE the Foreign Minister reiterated Qatar’s commitment to supporting the brotherly Somali people in countering the challenges they face and their efforts towards building a stable state and achieving sustainable development.(QNA) AK
