President Ghani Off To Qatar For 2-Day Official Visit

Kabul -President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani left for Qatar yesterday for a two-day state visit to participate in a summit in Doha and meet with the country’s officials.

The office of the President in a statement said President Ghani is accompanied by a delegation of high level government officials.

The statement further added that President Ghani is visiting Qatar on an official visit of Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. President Ghani will also deliver a speech in the summit in Doha besides meeting with the Emir of Qatar and the country’s Prime Minister. He will also meet with the Qatari entrepreneurs, influential leaders, traders and the Afghan elders based in Qatar, the statement added. The National Security Adviser Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Minister of Urban Development Affairs Syed Sadat Mansoor Naderi, Minister of Agriculture Asadullah Zamir, Senior Presidential Advisor Dr. Humayun Qayumi and Abdul Salam Rahimi, head of the administrative office of the President are accompanying President Ghani during the visit.
