Pakistan Conducts Successful Test of Babur Cruise Missile

Islamabad,) – Pakistani Army on Wednesday announced it has conducted a successful test of an enhanced version of the indigenously developed Babur cruise missile.

The cruise missile incorporates advanced aerodynamics and avionics and can strike targets on both land and sea at a range of 700 kilometres, according to the Pakistani army.

“It is a low flying, terrain hugging missile, which carries certain stealth features and is capable of carrying various types of warheads,” the military’s media wing said in a statement according to Pakistan’s Down newspaper.

The Babur cruise missile is equipped with state of the art navigational technologies which enables it to hit targets with pinpoint accuracy.

Babur Weapon System is an important force multiplier for Pakistan’s strategic defence, the statement added.
