OIC Condemns Terrorist Attack on Church in Cairo

Jeddah, – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack, which targeted St Peter’s Church in Abbassia in Cairo on Sunday morning, claiming the lives of a large number of innocent citizens and wounding many others.

The OIC Secretary General, Dr. Yousef A. Al Othaimeen, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and to the people and government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, wishing the wounded speedy recovery, according to the OIC press release.

The Secretary General also reaffirmed the OIC’s continued support to the Arab Republic of Egypt in its war on terror, reiterating the OIC’s principled position which condemns all forms and manifestations of terrorism.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation also condemned the bomb attacks outside a football stadium in Istanbul, which resulted in the killing of several innocent people and injuring scores of others.
