MP Dashti's sick leave in line with parliament's bylaw — Speaker

KUWAIT, May 4 (KUNA) — Speaker of National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim stressed on Wednesday that the sick leave submitted by MP Abdulhamid Al-Dashtti has come in line with the parliament’s bylaw.
In a remark to reporters at the headquarters of the parliament, Al-Ghanim said that the leave was presented with a medical report, adding that MP has the right to get a leave in accordance with the Article 24 of the bylaw.
Asked about the discussion of the government’s proposed document of economic and financial reform, he said the document would be discussed on May 24.
He added the delay came, upon a request from the government, until His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Deputy Premier, Minister of Finance and Acting Oil Minister Anas Al-Saleh returns home and attends the session to reply to questions of lawmakers. The document is just visons and ideas of the government and it is not subject to a vote of “Yes or No”, despite different views of MPs towards it, he noted.
He lauded efforts of MPs as they have so far enacted many laws in the third legislative term of the parliament. (end)
