METEOROLOGY DEPARTMENT WARNS OF THUNDERY RAIN, STRONG WIND

Doha, – Weather inshore tonight until 6.00 a.m. on Friday will be partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered light rain accompanied with possible thunders at places, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily report.

Thundery rain is expected at places associated with strong wind and high sea, the report warns.

Offshore, the weather will be slightly dusty to dusty at times and partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain at places.

Wind inshore will be northeasterly to southeasterly at a speed of 08 to 18 knots reaching 25 knots at places during thundery rain and northeasterly to southeasterly at a speed of 18 to 28 knots reaching 35 knots offshore.

Visibility will be 4 to 9 kilometers or 3 kilometers less at places at times.

Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet and 5 to 9 feet reaching 12 feet at places with thundery rain offshore.
