MALI EXTENDS STATE OF EMERGENCY UNTIL END OF OCTOBER

Bamako, – Mali’s parliament has voted unanimously to extend a state of emergency until the end of October, parliamentary speaker Youssour Toure confirmed on Sunday.

The decision was justified by the current poor security situation and the threat of terrorism that is endangering human lives and property, media reports quoted him as saying. (QNA)
