MAGNITUDE 6.2 EARTHQUAKE HITS OFF COAST OF EL SALVADOR

San Salvador – A magnitude 6.4 quake hit about 100 km out in the Pacific off the coast of El Salvador on Friday, without any reports on casualties or damages.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the quake struck Friday morning 79 kilometers southwest of Acajutla city and at depth of 10 kilometers.

USGS did not issue warnings of possible tsunami waves. (QNA)
